Public Chain Project Aptos Launches Ecosystem Grant Program

Aptos, a public chain project launched by former team members of Meta (formerly Facebook) stablecoin project Diem, announced the launch of the Aptos Ecosystem Grant Program, with funding categories including developer tools, tools and frameworks for development and governance, core protocol contributions, open source and public goods, education initiatives, applications, and more. In addition, Aptos said that over 100 projects have already been built on the network, covering DeFi, NFT, gaming and more, and expects to launch the Aptos mainnet around the end of September. Previously, Aptos closed a $200 million strategic funding round led by a16z in February, with participation from PayPal Ventures, Tiger Global, FTX Ventures and Coinbase Ventures.
