Ripple begins testing XRP Ledger sidechain that’s compatible with Ethereum smart contracts. The sidechain is currently live on Ripple's developer net and is open for testing. "Our goal in 2023 is to have an EVM sidechain connected to the XRPL mainnet," Ripple Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz said.
