Salvadoran Police Arrest Bitcoin Opponents

TokenInsight news, according to Salva Multimedia reports, the local police arrested computer and cryptocurrency expert Mario Gomez without a warrant, and the authorities claimed that he was suspected of financial fraud. But later that afternoon, the authorities released Gomez. Gomez often posts on social media about his opposition to legislation that makes Bitcoin legal tender in El Salvador. His Twitter posts included accusations that the individuals behind the Salvadoran government's Bitcoin wallet "Chivo" may be related to the BTC address who hacked on Twitter in July 2020. He also provided No Al Bitcoin (No To Bitcoin) stickers to his thousands of fans.
