Sam Altman Remains in the Worldcoin Team, while the Return as OpenAI CEO Undecided

Reported by The Block, Sam Altman, the ousted CEO of OpenAI, appears to be keeping his job at Tools for Humanity, the company behind Worldcoin, as negotiations regarding his return to OpenAI reportedly continue.

Tools for Humanity's website lists Altman as the co-founder and chairman of the project, and a spokesperson confirmed that the website remains a current indicator of his position.

Altman co-founded Worldcoin which launched in July. While the project is separate from OpenAI, WLD token price is affected by the drama that happened in OpenAI throughout the weekend.

Worldcoin is a digital identity platform with ambitions to build a World-ID and financial system using retina scanning technology to authenticate humans amid a rise in AI technology.
