SBF Charged by US Prosecutors with Bribing Chinese Officials

According to a court filing by US attorney Damian Williams, the US authorities added a new charge against FTX founder SBF on top of the 12 others. SBF is accused of attempting to bribe one or more Chinese government officials.

The filed claims that SBF and other related parties "directed and caused the transfer of at least approximately $40 million in cryptocurrency intended for the benefit of one or more Chinese government officials." The intention was to influence them to unfreeze cryptocurrency accounts at Alameda Research.
