SBF Found Guilty of All Seven Charges, Face up to 115 Years in Prison

Sam Bankman-Fried has been found guilty of all seven charges in his criminal trial. The charges include two counts of wire fraud, two counts of wire fraud conspiracy, one count of securities fraud, one count of commodities fraud conspiracy, and one count of money laundering conspiracy.

SBF potentially faces a maximum sentence of 115 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for March 28, 2024, before New York District Judge Lewis Kaplan.

Additionally, SBF is still confronting five more charges in a trial slated for March 2024. These charges encompass fraud related to FTX customers in connection with the trading of derivatives, securities fraud involving FTX investors, and three conspiracy charges: bank fraud, operating an unlicensed money transmission business, and violating the bribery statute of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

If the government proceeds with these additional charges, the court may delay the sentencing process.
