'SEC Approving BlackRock's iShares Spot Bitcoin ETF' Is False, Says FOX Business Journalist

Earlier today, Cointelegraph reported that the US SEC has approved BlackRock's iShares spot Bitcoin ETF. However, FOX Business journalist Eleanor Terrett said that BlackRock has confirmed to her that this is false, and their application is still under review.

Affected by the false report, the price of Bitcoin briefly exceeded $30,000. But following the clarification, the price dropped to around $28,000.

After the incident, Cointelegraph added "reportedly" to the original tweet first, then due to the mass criticism, the media deleted the tweet.
