Senators Lummis and Gillibrand Are Working Together on a Regulatory Framework for Crypto

New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Wyoming's Senator Cynthia Lummis are joining forces on a yet-to-be introduced bill that promises regulatory clarity for crypto. The two senators say the bill contains provisions that are still being revised and would be a foundational regulatory framework bill for how the crypto industry will be regulated in the future. Details of the bill are not being disclosed at this time, but the two senators said the bill would not change the definition of a security currently used by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
