Stableswap Platypus Hacked for Over $2M, Pauses All Pools

According to PeckShield, Avalanche-based stableswap Platypus suffered an attack and more than $2 million has been stolen. The project announced that due to suspicious activities in the protocol, all pools have been temporarily suspended as a proactive measure. The team will provide updates to the community in a timely manner.

This is the third time that Platypus was hit by a security incident in 2023. In February, Platypus was attacked in a flash loan exploit, lost around $9 million, and its stablecoin $USP lost dollar peg; in July, it suffered another small-scale arbitrage attack.
