Starknet Launches Decentralized Governance with First Vote for Protocol Upgrade

Starknet, a popular Ethereum scaling solution, is set to begin its decentralized governance with a vote for a new protocol upgrade, called Starknet Alpha v0.11.0.

The Starknet Foundation will be playing a crucial role in kickstarting the DAO's governance, sharing some of its voting power with several independent delegates to ensure a diverse governance environment. Investors, core contributors, and other delegates will also participate in the early governance period.

The DAO has chosen March 21 as the start of the voting period for its next upgrade, which is expected to take six days to complete via Snapshot. The planned protocol upgrade will be launched on the Goerli testnet while the vote is ongoing, followed by a mainnet launch if the vote passes.
