Starknet to Distribute 50M $STRK Tokens to Early Contributors

The Starknet Foundation has announced the Early Community Member Program, with the intention of allocating 50 million future $STRK tokens to early contributors within the ecosystem.

This program is designed to recognize and reward individual contributors who have actively engaged in technical discussions, organized Starknet-related events, and consistently produced content bearing the Starknet brand. Both individuals and projects are required to apply for the grant, providing comprehensive details of their contributions.

While a total of 10 billion Starknet tokens have been minted, they are not yet accessible to token holders. These tokens are expected to become available on April 15, 2024. The majority of the tokens were designated for the Starknet Foundation, with 32.9% allocated to core contributors and 17% to investors.

The ECMP program is part of the strategy for distributing tokens that were originally allocated to the foundation. Starknet has clarified that this token distribution is not classified as an airdrop.
