Tether To Launch Stablecoin $GBPT Pegged to the British Pound Sterling in Early July

Stablecoin issuer Tether has announced that it will launch $GBPT, a stable digital asset that is pegged 1:1 to the British Pound Sterling in early July. Initial blockchain support will include Ethereum. Currently, Tether has launched $USDT pegged to the US dollar, $EURT pegged to the euro, and $MXNT pegged to the Mexican peso.
