The First Ethereum Mainnet Shadow Fork Will Take Place Today

Ethereum developer Marius van der Wijden said on social media that Ethereum is currently testing PoS and will conduct the first mainnet shadow fork. It is said that shadow fork refers to adding merge-related fields to the network for forking to simulate stress testing in the existing network environment.
