Tornado.Cash Community Rejects Proposal to Auction 50,000 $TORN at 20% Discount

Tornado.Cash's Proposal 13 on "treasury diversification" was rejected by the community. The proposal proposed a 14-day token auction of 50,000 $TORN at a 20% discount to the market price of 1inch, with a 1-year lockup after purchase, but with staking yield and the vote to diversify governance treasury (minimum $TORN buying price is fixed at 0.008 $ETH). The majority of community members found the proposal unreasonable and suspected the existence of team benefit transfer or arbitrage, and the proposal eventually received 68% of the votes against, making it the first Tornado.Cash proposal to be rejected by the community.
