UMA Oracle to Release UMA 2.0 in 2023 with Introduction of $UMA Staking

Risk Labs, the core team behind UMA oracle, announced that it will release UMA 2.0 in multiple phases over 2023, with the first to be complete in January. The upgrade will improve the voting system, simplify the ways for DApps to plug into the oracle, and further research into the security model of the Data Verification Mechanism.

UMA 2.0 will introduce $UMA staking, which is expected to go live in January. Users will be able to stake $UMA to earn rewards.
