Uniswap DAO Approves Uniswap V3 Deployment on Avalanche

Uniswap DAO's vote on the proposal regarding V3 deployment on Avalanche has reached the needed quorum, with the approval ratio at 95% now.

Blockchain at Michigan, which submitted the proposal, said that as Uniswap V3 BSL will expire on April 1st when any entity will have the legal right to duplicate V3 and utilize the forked code for commercial purposes, Uniswap needs to deploy on Alt-Layer1s in time. For the same reason, Uniswap V3 went live on BNB Chain this week.

It's worth mentioning that, while Uniswap used Wormhole to deploy on BNB Chain, the DEX chose LayerZero as the bridge partner for its deployment on Avalanche. After the on-chain vote ends, LayerZero Labs will deploy the Uniswap V3 smart contracts on the Avalanche C-Chain, and Uniswap Labs will handle the front-end integration updates and include Avalanche to the auto router. The process will take around five weeks to complete.
