Uniswap Launches Mobile Wallet App, with Only 10,000 Early Accesses Available Now

Uniswap announced the launch of a self-custodial, open-sourced crypto wallet mobile app. As the app hasn't been approved by Apple, only 10,000 users can access it through TestFlight now.

The Uniswap wallet is developed for iOS, with no Android version available now. The wallet supports Ethereum mainnet, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism, and includes token swap features. Via WalletConnect, users can connect the Uniswap wallet to any apps on the four networks. They can also choose to unlock the wallet with Face ID, and store seed phrases in iCloud.

However, Apple hasn't approved the app. Uniswap said Apple approved the first build in October, but rejected the final build before its December launch.

"We've responded to their concerns, answered every question, and reiterated that we are 100% compliant with their guidelines. Other self-custody swapping wallets have been approved, but Apple won't green-light our launch and we don't know why."

So Uniswap decided to open up the internal TestFlight app to 10,000 users to let community members experience the wallet earlier. Starting today, Uniswap will share access codes across multiple channels.
