Web3 Infrastructure Provider Caldera Closes $9 Million in Funding Led by Sequoia Capital and Dragonfly

Web3 infrastructure provider Caldera announced that it has raised $9M in funding across two rounds, lead by Shaun Maguire at Sequoia Capital and Ani Pai at Dragonfly respectively, with participation from other firms including Neo, 1kx, and Ethereal Ventures, plus a litany of angels from both Web2 and Web3.

Caldera allows app developers to launch and run dedicated Layer 2 blockchain “rollups” – lightweight, customizable blockchains that inherit security from another blockchain such as Ethereum but offer faster speeds and lower fees for an app’s transactions.

This funding will help Caldera grow the team, build out partnerships and integration to support developers.
