zkSync 2.0 Mainnet Baby Alpha Goes Live, to Open for Users in Early 2023

zkSync announced recently that its 2.0 mainnet Baby Alpha has gone live, which is the first phase of zkSync 2.0 mainnet. This phase marks the deployment of the end-to-end zkRollup, with all its components, to mainnet.

There won't be external projects or users during Baby Alpha, when the zkSync team will put the system through a series of real-money stress tests to reduce risks. Meanwhile, zkSync launched an audit contest in partnership with Code4rena, with a total prize pool at 165,500 $USDC.

zkSync plans to enter the second phase, Fair Onboarding Alpha, in Q4 2022, when registered projects can deploy contracts and test the system. After this phase, zkSync 2.0 mainnet is expected to be open for all users in early 2023 in its Full Launch Alpha.
