zkSync 2.0 Mainnet Reaches Fair Onboarding Alpha Milestone

Ethereum Layer2 scaling solution zkSync announced that the 2.0 mainnet reached Fair Onboarding Alpha milestone. During this phase, registered projects can deploy and test their dapps on zkSync Era.

At the same time, zkSync 2.0 has been renamed zkSync Era and zkSync 1.0 has been renamed zkSync Lite. In addition, zkSync Era is full open source with the freedom to view, modify and fork the code.

The zkSync 2.0 mainnet launch has three phases, Baby Alpha, Fair Onboarding Alpha and Full Launch Alpha. The first phase, which is only open to zkSync team members, went live last October. The third phase is expected to go live in Q2 2023, when the mainnet will be open to all users.
