zkSync Era Mainnet Open to All Users, Becoming First zkEVM on Mainnet

Ethereum scaling solution zkSync announced that the zkSync Era mainnet is now open to all users, becoming the first zkEVM live on mainnet. Users and projects can now bridge their funds to the system and build and deploy their code on the network.

The zkSync team said that it has spent over a year and $3.8 million to test and audit all components of zkSync Era. zkSync Era (previously known as zkSync 2.0) launched testnet in February 2022, and launched mainnet in October. The mainnet has gone through two phases, Baby Alpha and Fair Onboarding Alpha, when it was not available to the public.

Currently, the zkSync Era mainnet is still in Alpha, and the team will monitor the system with increased usage and TVL. It has also added independent monitoring and risk mitigation mechanisms. Some unique features of zkSync Era's architecture include Native Account Abstraction, LLVM Compiler, and Data Compression.
