Circle to Launch Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol for $USDC

Stablecoin issuer Circle announced that it will launch a Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol to support $USDC interoperability. Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol is permissionless and enables $USDC to be sent natively across ecosystems, improving liquidity and reducing fragmentation of bridged assets. The protocol is expected to go live on Ethereum and Avalanche mainnet later this year, and will integrate with partners including Allbridge, Axelar, BitGo, LayerZero, Wormhole and others first.
