Connext Founder Says No Contract Exploit after One Address Claimed $NEXT Airdrop 200 Times

Layer2 interoperability protocol Connext's $NEXT airdrop is available to claim today. However, an issue was identified by the crypto community, where some users can claim the airdrop multiple times. There are suspicions that it's a bug that allows hackers to steal others' rewards.

As reported by crypto KOL olimpio, address 0x44af...6708 claimed the airdrop 200 times and sold all the $NEXT tokens for around $38,000.

In response to the problem, Connext founder Arjun said in Discord that this address is a sybil bot that used just a single address to claim for 200 addresses. Arjun also clarified that it's not a hack and there is no contract exploit. Currently, the airdrop claiming page is down. According to Arjun, the reason is that "Tokensoft got DOSd and went down because of the Sybil claim bot submitting many many requests all at once".
