Ethereum Testnet Cancun Upgrade Scheduled for January 17

According to Geth team developer @lightclients, the 178th Ethereum Core Developers Execution (ACDE) meeting has concluded, with the meeting reaffirming the Cancun upgrade on the Goerli testnet for January 17, with tentative dates of January 30 and February 7 for the Sepolia and Holesky testnet upgrades respectively.

If all goes well, the Goerli client will be released next week, with the Sepolia/Holesky clients coming the week of January 22. Additionally, the 179th ACDE meeting is scheduled for January 18, with a potential rescheduling of the upgrades if any issues arise in the first 24 hours after the forks.

The developers also decided that the next upgrade for Ethereum will be the Prague/Electra (Pectra) upgrade.
