Starknet Started to Vote on Making $STRK Fee Payment Token

Ethereum Layer 2 Starknet started the vote on moving Starknet v0.13.0 from testnet to mainnet. This upgrades facilitate transaction fee payments in $STRK, the native token for Starknet, in addition to $ETH. Community members can vote from 7:00 a.m. ET on Jan. 4 to 7:00 a.m. ET on Jan. 8 at on the Starknet Governance Hub.

It should be noted that the STRK token hasn't been airdropped yet, the voting process is happening using a system where others vote for them. Starknet Foundation has already given voting rights to a wide group of independent delegates, making sure that the community is represented even before they release their tokens.

"We encourage ALL members of the Starknet community to join the discussion and voice opinions on the proposed update on the community forum," Starket wrote.
