HTX (Huobi) Hacker Returned All Stolen Funds, and Received 250 $ETH as White Hat Bonus

According to blockchain analytics insights provider Lookonchain, the hacker who breached HTX Global, formerly known as Huobi has returned all of the assets that he siphoned from the platform. HTX owner Justin Sun confirmed the exchange have also paid the hacker a white hat bonus of 250 ETH, around $425,000.

HTX crypto exchange (Huobi) was hacked on Sept. 24 for around $8 million of crypto assets. After the hack, a known Huobi hot wallet posted a message to the attacker, saying the exchange knows the identity of the attacker and has offered to let them keep 5% of the drained funds as a “white-hat bonus.
