An eight-second video shot at the Permissionless II event has been widely spread on X today, in which Robert Collura, a LayerZero team member, said, "There's no airdrop, guys, no airdrop coming. There're lots of rumors, but there's no airdrop coming." The video aroused controversy within the crypto community, which made Bryan Pellegrino, co-founder and CEO of LayerZero Labs, clarify himself, denying the "no airdrop" claim.
Pellegrino commented under the video, "why did you edit the video? Context is around announcement tomorrow, ie all the hidden hashes at Permissionless." X user Slavik Investor then joined the discussion, claiming the video was his and was not edited. Pellegrino replied, "You didn't cut the video and ask a different question prior (+ record without letting them know you were recording)?"
Slavik Investor responded with a seventeen-second version of the video, saying, "Of course, I asked if I could record the video and got the approval! We agreed to record the video where he was supposed to tell if there will be airdrop."
