Meta Will Launch a New Tool for Selling Virtual Goods at Horizon Worlds

Meta will launch a new tool for selling virtual goods in Horizon Worlds. A “handful” of creators will be able to sell “virtual items and effects” in their respective worlds, Meta said. Only Americans and Canadians above the age of 18 will be able to purchase those items. Meta also says it will reward creators whose virtual worlds prove particularly popular with users with monthly bonuses. Meta may charge between 25% and 70% in the virtual goods marketplace.
